Non-biological Thoracic Simulator for Minimally Invasive Lung Resection

Dr. Traves Crabtree, President and Co-founder, and Fred Kemp, Co-founder, have developed a non-biological synthetic torso for simulating thoracic surgery. Until now there have been limitations in the training methods available for thoracoscopic surgery. CK Surgical Simulation's synthetic torso was designed with both skin and muscle as well as boney tissue and intercostal  muscle tissue that allows surgeons to access the thoracic cavity similar to the way they would in an operating room. The synthetic components of the simulator can be continually replaced in order to provide ongoing education and training for physicians.
